Threshold Paintings by Francine Michel
Women in India create intricate patterns with rice flower to adorn their doorways. These are for symbolic and spiritual reasons. Typically, they want to invite good fortune and protect the home. The pictures I created were designed to display the colors and designs of this tradition.
